Railroad Days in Athens

We went to Railroad Days on Saturday sponsored by the Council on Aging in Athens. We went when the festival began and didn't find it overly busy. They had model trains (some made out of small legos), a magician, inflatables. Isaac enjoyed playing with the remote control train. The magician was really good and I think St. Joe's should try to get him for their Fall Festival. Isaac was thrilled with all of the trains. We found the train display made out of legos absolutely fascinating. It was a fun morning outing.

Play date and lunch at Big City Bread

Isaac and I met up with friends at Big City Bread on Friday morning for play and lunch. I'd talk to other moms who go and take their toddlers with them. We are tired of going to Chick Fil A for lunch and play and needed new scenery. Donavan and I had lunch at BCB when we first moved to Athens. This was my first visit with Isaac in tow. Isaac was off the wall. He
didn't listen to directions and would NOT sit down for lunch. He was obsessed with playing in the water dish (intended for dogs) and there was an abundance of rocks on the patio which is always a draw for him these days. The staff was very accomodating and didn't say a word that we dirtied the water dish and our children (mostly Isaac) were running amuck around the patio. My salad was delicious and Isaac's grilled cheese was good too.

Visit with Mimi Yarnall

Here are some pictures of our visit with Mimi Yarnall last week. We went to the Atlanta aquarium and hung out in Athens for her visit. Isaac loved introducing Mimi to his preschool/teacher, going to the playground, visiting the bookstores and decorating Easter eggs. On a developmental note, Isaac has learned to ride his tricycle on his own. Although the hills are still tricky for him, he enjoys biking on the sidewalks are our complex.
